In Xiaochi, Hubei, where our company is located, just like in previous years, every household hangs mugwort in front of their doors, and the exhilarating sound of drums heralds the upcoming annual dragon boat race. This year, being the year of the Dragon, there are more dragon boats than in previous years, creating a more lively atmosphere. On the eve of the Dragon Boat Festival, temporary shelters have already been set up on both banks of the East Harbor, packed with people. Residents from various townships have begun preparations for the dragon boat race, spontaneously holding friendly competitions to warm up the venue.
Different from previous years, CCTV will be coming to East Harbor this year to broadcast the race live. Through CCTV's lens, our dragon boat spirit will be showcased – the unity and cooperation of the boatmen, their striving for progress, and their adherence to the principle of 'friendship first, competition second,' bravely forging ahead with shouts of encouragement; the unified attire, neat movements, loud slogans, and the spirit of not stopping rowing until the finish line, will take our folk culture and dragon boat spirit beyond our community.
